Je n'en pouvais plus d'attendre!

Ça fait 15 jours que j'attends de la belle lumière pour photographier mes jolis sacs en canvas et le soleil s'est montré le bout du nez quand j'étais à Paris! Donc ce matin, voyant Noël s'approcher à très grands pas, je me suis dit au diable les bonnes photos et j'ai mis les sacs en vente au cas ou vous aimeriez faire un cadeau à vos copines couturières.

Ce sont des sacs en canvas 100% coton (227gr/m), de culture durable et de commerce équitable (c'était super important pour moi que le salaire des couturières soit décent) imprimé en Angleterre dans une entreprise de réinsertion. 

Ils reprennent un élément graphique de mon livre, dessiné par Stéphanie Brepson, Camillette Création et moi avons travaillé ensemble pour la mise en page.

J'ai le mien depuis 2 semaines et je l'adore, mais avant ça, j'avais celui de Tilly donc j'en connaissait la qualité et je l'ai totalement copiée en faisant appel au même fournisseur. 

Ce tote est le premier d'une petite série d'objets à thème couture qui trottent dans ma tête depuis des années. Il est temps que je m'y mette...

I couldn't wait anymore!

I have been waiting for days for good weather to photograph my pretty canvas bags and as luck would have it, the sun showed up when I was in Paris! So this morning, with the countdown to Christmas on, I decided to go ahead with a crummy picture and put them up for sale. If you have a sewing buddy, this is the perfect gift as seamstresses carry stuff all the time.

These 100% cotton canvas bags (227g/m), are from sustainable crops, fair trade (it was really important for me that the people sewing them make a living wage) and printed in the UK in a reinsertion program.

I made them with the help of Stéphanie Brepson who designed my book, Camillette Création and I.

I have had min for 2 weeks and I love it, but I knew what I was buying into as I already had Tilly's bag and I totally copied her in getting them from the same place.

This, hopefully, is the first in a small serie of sewing related objects that I have been thinking about for years. It was time to act up on it...

L'Élève Douée / The Talented Student

Gwen est venue coudre le tissu qu'on a choisi lundi dernier.
Gwen n'avait jamais cousu auparavant et elle est ressortie avec ce joli sac, une version améliorée du cabas en Cuben Fiber que j'ai fait récemment. Gwen est maintenant accro et comme elle a plein d'idées, sa maison est impeccablement décorée, il est possible que j'aie créé un monstre ou que j'aie perdu une cliente potentielle, au choix. Maintenant je comprends pourquoi Gertie aime tant enseigner.
Quoi qu'il en soit, on a passé une super journée.
Vous remarquerez le scotch bleu sur la machine, c'est pour repérer la marge de couture et coudre droit. C'est une super truc pour les débutantes.

Gwen came over to sew the fabric we chose together last Monday.
Gwen had never sewn anything before and she came out of the house with this beautiful bag which is an improved version of the Cuben Fiber tote I made a while ago. I may have created a monster, Gwen has impeccable taste and lots of ideas, you should see her house, or I have lost a potential customer.
Whichever, we spent a great day. I understand why Gertie gets such a kick out of teaching!
