The Jim Jones Revue Stunt Dress

I haven't sewn anything since July.

So, to get my groove back, I was looking for quick fun project to sink my teeth in. When Karen showed the Horrockses Martha Sun Dress pattern available for free, I thought cool! I'll do the Martha Sundress in the cassette fabric I have and I'll wear it to The Jim Jones Revue concert I am going to in October, title the blogpost The Horrockses Fashions Martha Stunt Dress and a generally good time was going to be had by all.

Except, when I tried to walk the pattern, which I printed twice to make sure it wasn't a printer issue, I got something so wonky, that I scraped it and got an old pattern out and drafted a similar top from that. 

At least I know this one fits!

La Robe pour The Jim Jones Revue

Je n'ai rien cousu depuis juillet!

Alors pour me remettre dans les rails, je cherchais un projet facile et rapide. Quand Karen de chez Did You Make That nous a montré le parton gratuit de la maison Horrockses, je me suis dit parfait! et si je la fait avec le tissu à cassette, ça sera très drôle et de saison pour le concert de The Jim Jones Revue qui passe près de chez moi en Octobre et on va bien rigoler. 

Mais, même après avoir imprimé le patron 2 fois au cas ou il y a eu erreur de manipulation, j'ai eu ce résultat aproximatif avec les coutures qui ne coïncident pas. J'ai donc ressorti un vieux patron qui y ressemblait avec lequel j'ai redessiné sensiblement la même chose.

Mais au moins celui là, je sais qu'il me va.
