With all the rain that fell upon us in the last few days, it's a miracle that I was able to have pictures taken at all!
In theory, this should be worn with a thicker under layer but you get the gist, I am ready for winter.

I am always hyper critical of my makes, there is certainly one or two things I would do differently, but nitpicking for nitpicking's sake is not really interesting. I am happy about it and I wear it all the time and that is what is important here.

Je suis hyper critique de mes réalisations et il y a certainement un ou 2 trucs que je ferais différemment, mais franchement, pinailler pour pinailler, c'est pas intéressant. Je suis contente, et je le mets tout le temps et c'est ça qui est important!
Happy New Year you all, thank you for dropping by.

Bonne Année à tous et merci pour votre visite.
Nice job -- very elegant looking!
RĂ©pondreSupprimerThank you Peter! A compliment from the coatmaster is worth a million!
SupprimerLooks lovely - nice sunshine too! :)
RĂ©pondreSupprimerIt didn't last long, good thing I took the pictures then because we haven't seen it since!
SupprimerCarmen it is such a great coat. You should be really pleased! I love the lining fabric too but I especially like the black contrasts. Genius. Happy New Year to you too!! I hope you get more sunshine too!
RĂ©pondreSupprimerSeason Greetings!
SupprimerA wear all the time, go with everything jacket is always perfect. Forget about the little things and just enjoy the lovely big picture :)
RĂ©pondreSupprimerThank you Rhonda!
SupprimerI am amazed at how perfectly set in those sleeves are.
RĂ©pondreSupprimerThank you! I do have a fool proof way of doing that. Would you like me to show you? Next time I sew some sleeves up, I will.
SupprimerThe sleeves and all the layers of support should be mandatory viewing for all sewers who start a coat and think they can skip that part!!!! Then the facing/bagging - oo la la! I have never had to do a back vent lining but if and when I have to, I certainly will refer back to this post (I have made a PDF) and also to your link of Kathleen Fasanella. I didn't respond to your pattern giveaway as I found I had almost all those patterns in my stash...weird?
RĂ©pondreSupprimerHappy New Year, Carmen!
Happy New Year to you too. In general, trying to skip things don't work for me. Thank you for dropping by MrsMole, I am such a fan.
